Easy8051 v6 Development System

Overview

User-Friendly 8051 Development System

Easy8051 v6 development system supports a wide range of Atmel 8051 microcontrollers.

High-Performance On-Board USB 2.0 Programmer

Very fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer with a simplified driver installation.

COG Supported

Serial COG Display that uses SPI interface is available for displaying text messages.

Easy8051 v6 allows 8051 microcontrollers to be interfaced with numerous peripheral devices. It comes with an AT89S8253.

Port Expander

On-board 16-bit I/O port expander MCP23S17 that uses SPI communication.

Seven-segment displays

Seven-segment displays in multiplex mode are connected to the microcontroller socket.

 What's On-Board

RS-232 Communication Module

RS-232 communication with a PC or a microcontroller is performed via DB9 connector.

DIP Switch

System can be easily configured by means of DIP switches. Each DIP switch configures one part of the system.

DS1820 Temperature Sensor

Temperature sensor DS1820 measures temperature from -55°C to 125°C. It is connected to the system via socket.

4 seven-segment displays

4 seven-segment displays in multiplex mode. They also have an interface to the microcontroller.

ADC Potentiometer

On-board A/D converter MCP3204 with a potentiometer is used for testing multiple A/D conversions.

Power Supply Switch

USB or external power supply source is selected by moving a jumper. Power supply switch turns the system on/off.

4.096 Vref

Voltage reference for A/D converter can be VCC (5V) or 4.096 V.

IDC10 Connectors

All pins are connected to the IDC10 connectors for further expansion.

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes)

38 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used to indicate the logic state of all microcontroller pins.

 Pull-up/pull-down port configuration

On-board jumpers used for pull-up/pull-down port configuration. These jumpers are available for all pins.

Push Buttons

38 push buttons are used to excite microcontroller digital inputs. They are connected to all microcontrollers pins.

DIP switch for separating port pins from pull-up/pull-down

DIP switch is used to separate port pins from pull-up/pull-down resistors.

USB 2.0 Programmer

Fast, on-board USB 2.0 programmer. There is no need to connect the external programmer.

LCD

LCD can be easily connected via the on-board connector. This connector is also connected to MCU pins.

LCD Contrast Potentiometer

LCD Contrast Potentiometer is used for adjusting LCD contrast in a fast and easy way.

 Supported Microcontrollers

System provides support for MCUs in DIP14, DIP16, DIP20, DIP28, DIP40, PLCC44 and PLCC32 pin packages.

Pins' Marks

All MCU pins are marked on the back of the board. These marks provide basic information on the pins.

Voltage level selection (GND or +5V)

Voltage level to be applied when a button is pressed (GND or +5V) is selected by means of the on-board jumper.

Graphic LCD 128x64

Graphic LCD 128x64 can be easily connected via the on-board connector. It is also connected to MCU pins.

Reset Circuit

Reset circuit is used to reset the microcontroller. It is connected to the MCLR pin of the microcontroller.

GLCD Contrast

GLCD Contrast Potentiometer is used for adjusting graphic LCD contrast.

On-Board USB 2.0 Programmer

USB 2.0 Programmer is driven by a single USB port on a PC. No additional AC power adapter is needed. The programmer is recognized by Windows, which simplifies the driver installation. The programmer board is specifically designed for In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP).

This USB programmer doesn't use a bootloader or any similar software for programming. The whole 8051 memory and all pins are available to you. This is a USB 8051 InSystem programmer ideal for your future projects. Note: This programmer supports only 8051 microcontrollers with SPI Serial Interface for Program Downloading.

On-board 8051 programmer

Windows® Certified Drivers

Drivers for the on-board programmer are Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 certified. The Windows certificate is a proof that the programmer supports mentioned Windows operating systems and is immediately recognized by the system, which guarantees correct Plug and Play functionality. Driver certification provides users with a wide range of benefits such as stable functioning, the ability to install and delete drivers without rebooting and compatibility with future versions of Windows.Windows Certified Drivers
